Akash Mirchandani is a vice president at Kitchen Fund, a leading growth equity firm focused on the emerging restaurant space. Kitchen Fund aims to fuel the brands that are changing how we eat, including investments in sweetgreen, CAVA, and Curry Up Now. Akash led the firm’s first international investment in Miscusi, a purpose-driven, affordable, handmade pasta concept based in Milan. Before joining Kitchen Fund, Akash was an investor at Blackstone in their Private Equity Group, where he evaluated prospective deals and managed portfolio companies across multiple industries. While at Blackstone, he was involved in the execution of the $20Bn investment in Refinitiv, one of the largest ever private equity corporate partnerships. Akash holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard, where he was captain of the golf team and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He deepened his passion for the food industry through a stage working in the kitchen at Alinea, the three Michelin star restaurant in Chicago. (New York, NY)
