Cynthia Madden ’19 is chef manager of the Menus of Change Kitchen at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, NY. In this role, Cynthia creates healthy, delicious, plant-forward meals with CIA students, for CIA students, while also establishing sustainable kitchen practices and mitigating food waste through the utilization of surplus ingredients from other campus kitchens. Cynthia actively participates as a member in the CIA-Stanford Menus of Change University Research Collaborative and in the CIA’s Diversity Council to help highlight the cultural diversity of plant-forward cuisines. After graduating from the CIA in 2019, Cynthia found her passion working as a private chef focusing on postpartum food and wellness before returning to her alma mater in her current role in 2022. Cynthia holds a BBA in Accounting from IONA University and over ten years of extensive accounting and business experience. (Hyde Park, NY)
