Ilana Braverman

Ilana Braverman is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Greener by Default, an organization working to transform institutional food systems for a more sustainable future. A compelling voice in the climate-food dialogue, Ilana shared her expertise in the TEDx talk, “Moving Beyond a Hamburger Default World.” She has extensive experience in sustainable food systems, previously serving as the Director of Outreach for Better Food Foundation and Program Manager at Farm Forward. Ilana holds a Master's degree in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Through her work, Ilana continues to bridge the gap between sustainability, food systems, and policy, driving meaningful change in institutional dining practices.
