Kate Hanley is director of global climate strategy at Aramark. In this role, Kate oversees the organization’s climate strategy, including measuring progress and driving implementation toward its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 15% by 2025 and to set science-based targets. Kate collaborates across the organization on initiatives such as climate-friendly menus, efficient operations, and sustainable sourcing. Previously, Kate worked as sustainability director for the Town of Concord, MA, where she was responsible for launching the town’s first comprehensive climate action and resilience plan. Kate also spent five years at Environmental Defense Fund in Boston where she managed EDF Climate Corps, a network of professionals united to advance climate solutions and the leading graduate fellowship program in energy and sustainability. Kate holds a dual degree from Clark University, MBA and MS in Environmental Science and Policy as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. (Boston, MA)
