Katherine Miller

Katherine Miller, called one of the most innovative women in food and beverage by Fortune and Food & Wine magazines, works with foundations, nonprofits and socially responsible companies to develop, execute, and evaluate social impact strategies. She previously served as vice president of impact at the James Beard Foundation and founding executive director of the Chef Action Network. The first-ever food policy fellow at American University's Sine Institute for Policy and Politics, she was also a Distinguished Terker Fellow at George Washington University. She is adjunct professor at the Culinary Institute of America, where she teaches Leadership, Engagement, and Impact. Her book, At the Table: The Chef's Guide to Advocacy, is considered a "must-read" by Food Tank and Civil Eats. She is a past board member of RAINN, the national sexual assault hotline, and NARAL ProChoice America. She is a member of Les Dames Escoffier and on the board of directors of the New Venture Fund and ReHER. She lives on the ancestral lands of the Anocostans in Northeast Washington DC with her husband Lou and their kitty Lily. (Washington, DC)
