Manager, Food & Agriculture Pathway, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) | New York, NY

Melanie Levine is a manager within the food & agriculture pathway at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), based in Chicago. In this capacity she collaborates with agribusiness companies across the value chain on initiatives related to food systems transformation, including sustainable and healthy diets, as well as human rights and living incomes for agri-food workers. Melanie recently relocated to the US from Singapore, where she worked with WBCSD for three years, and also served as a committee member with Women in Agribusiness Asia (WOMAG) and a part-time lecturer on agricultural commodity markets at Nanyang Technological University. She previously worked with the United Nations World Food Programme in Cambodia, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Cocoa Foundation, and a US government contractor, Dexis Consulting Group. Melanie holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in government and sociology from the College of William and Mary.
