Scott Uehlein ’85
VP of Culinary, Panera Bread; West Newton, MA
Scott Uehlein ‘85 serves as vice president of culinary excellence and innovation at Panera Bread and is based in the West Newton, Massachusetts Panera Support Center. In his role, Uehlein oversees the Panera culinary team, managing the development of the brand’s innovative menu items. Uehlein has over three decades of experience in the restaurant industry, and prior to Panera was VP Culinary at Papa Johns, MOD Pizza, and Sonic. Before Sonic, he was vice president of food and beverage at the renowned Canyon Ranch Resorts based Tucson, Arizona, and as corporate chef at ILX Resorts, where he was responsible for all menu development and implementation. Scott is a member of the Business and Industry Leadership Council for Menus of Change, a health, wellness, and sustainability initiative co-founded by The Culinary Institute of America and Harvard School of Public Health. He is also the co-chair of Healthy Menus R&D Collaborative, also presented by the Culinary Institute of America. Uehlein received his degree from the Culinary Institute of America and furthered his studies at The School for American Chefs at Beringer Vineyards in California. (West Newton, MA)
