Founder and Chairman, Iceland Ocean Cluster, Iceland Eco-Business Park, and 100% Fish

Thor Sigfusson, PhD is founder and chairman of The Iceland Ocean Cluster (2011), the Ocean Cluster House (2012), co-founder of New England Ocean Cluster (2015), and founder and chairman of the Iceland Eco-Business Park (2023). The Ocean Cluster network, which Thor initiated, has expanded to four states in the US, Europe and Africa. Thor started a global movement in 2015 aiming for better utilisation of seafood byproducts, “100% Fish”. Thor received his PhD degree in International Business Networks from the University of Iceland in 2012. Thor has written nine books on seafood, innovation, and business networks. His latest book, 100% Fish, emphasizes the importance of zero-waste in the global seafood industry. Thor is founder/co-founder of several fish/food enterprises; Codland (2012), Collagen Ltd. (Now Marine Collagen) (2013), Hlemmur Food Hall (2017) and Grandi food Hall (2018).
